Defer scripts

The browser has to wait until the scripts are downloaded in order to render the page. By deferring, the browser will load the script in parallel, asynchronously. But will be executed only when the page has finished parsing.

Exclude scripts from deferring

Every script will not be compatible when you enable defer. Sometimes you'll need to exclude some scripts from deferring.

You can exclude scripts from deferring by adding the file name or path or entire URL as a keyword separated by newline or space.

For example, we've two scripts related to jQuery:

<script src="https://example.com/wp-includes/jquery.min.js">
<script src="https://example.com/wp-includes/jquery.migrate.min.js">

In order to exclude both these scripts from deferring, add the keyword "jquery" to the exclude list.
